Chigri is a Los Angeles-based songwriter and performer who recently re-emerged with a new focus on cinematic, honest storytelling. After a hiatus and a rebrand from her early work as a teenager, she is currently exploring a sound that prioritizes raw emotion over genre labels.
Her latest track, “Easy Target,” is a simple but heavy piano-and-string ballad written as a form of closure. It’s an exploration of vulnerability and the fear of not being enough – themes Chigri approaches with a voice that is both powerhouse and quietly intimate.
Following the release of the atmospheric “Landmines” in January, both tracks show Chigri’s commitment to authenticity.
Based in Hollywood, she is currently building her new catalog under the D-Rex Music Label, focused on creating music that feels like a cathartic release.
Currently, Chigri can be found performing at open mics and intimate local venues across Los Angeles. She is using this period to test new material and connect directly with the local community in its rawest form. These sessions serve as the testing ground for her upcoming EP, as she builds her live set from the ground up.
